Large quantities of goods are being transported every week between Sweden and Italy. Today it is happening on the road, but an intermodal transport solution may be on the way.
Since NTEX entered the Italian market in 2014, traffic to and from Sweden has increased steadily. Today, 40-50 trailers run every week and NTEX Sales manager, Tobias Rindevall, also believes in further development.
– NTEX is known for investing and daring, which has produced good results on this line of transport as well. Business with existing customers has grown and new customers has joined us, and I am very positive about the future, says Tobias Rindevall.
In Italy NTEX is working together with ITX Cargo, who has been working with the Swedish market for a long time and today is their single largest market.
The goods, which are mostly unit and batches of goods for the technology and electronics industry, are transported between Milan and Verona in Italy and Helsingborg, Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden. Today, all transport is on the road, but may in the future also go by rail.
– We are looking at an intermodal solution and to combine road with rail, which would have both environmental and economic benefits. Nothing has been decided yet, but we are having discussions with railway operators to find the best solutions, says Tobias.
