NTEX i samtal om transport av farligt gods

Jerry Nilsson, affärsområdeschef för sjö & flyg på NTEX, var en av 20 talare som bjöds in att tala på farligt gods-konferensen som arrangerades på Chalmers den 29 november.
– Det ligger i NTEX själ och hjärta att sticka ut och delta i samtalet och driva det framåt, säger Jerry Nilsson.

Konferensen är en knutpunkt där människor och företag som på olika sätt hanterar farligt gods kan mötas för att utbyta tankar och idéer samt diskutera problemställningar som uppstår i vardagen. Arrangörerna Dangerous Goods Management (DGM), Chalmers och SäkerhetsRådgivarna ansvarade för ett block vardera under dagen.

Jerry Nilsson talade under DGM’s block som handlade om gränsöverskridande transporter samt import och export av farligt gods.
– Vi diskuterade bland annat tendenser i global handel och hur området utvecklats från tidigt 90-tal till idag; olika saker klassas som farligt gods idag jämfört med då. Vi pratade även om aktuella problem med transport av farligt gods, säger Jerry Nilsson.

Det var första gången NTEX bjöds in att tala på konferensen, och bakom inbjudan stod DGM.
– De är vår säkerhetsrådgivare och jag har gått flertalet utbildningar hos dem, berättar Jerry Nilsson, som själv håller utbildningar för kunder inom ramarna för NTEX Academy.
– Våra kundutbildningar är uppskattade och ger oss möjlighet att fördjupa oss i specifika ämnen och dela med oss av vår kunskap, säger Jerry.

Deltagandet under farligt gods-konferensen är även ett gott tillfälle att nätverka och knyta kontakt med andra människor med bred kunskap inom området.
– Det är lärorikt att lyssna på de andra talarna och bättre förståelse för branschen i helhet och vad vi kan göra för att underlätta för våra samarbetspartners, berättar Jerry Nilsson.

Sammanlagt deltog drygt 120 personer i konferensen och talarna kom även från Transportstyrelsen, MSB, polisen, försvarsmakten, kustbevakningen och Chalmers.
