Through the strategic acquisitions of France Sped AB and Ekbergs Spedition AB, NTEX is now one of the largest players in the Swedish transport market in terms of freight services to and from France and Belgium.
From the start in 1990, France Sped AB has primarily worked with transport via the port of Gothenburg, and at the same time made itself known as a stable and flexible organization with a family feeling. Just like Ekbergs Spedition AB, which was acquired by NTEX 2017, they specialize in import and export in France and Belgium.
The merger has meant such a sharp increase in international transport that NTEX can now be named one of Sweden's largest companies in terms of transport services to and from the countries.
The acquisition of France Sped AB in early 2019 meant new colleagues who now are located together with the rest of NTEX in Gothenburg. Kristina Bengtsson, who has worked in the industry for almost 40 years, leads the team.
- I like the challenges and opportunities that come with working with even larger volumes. We are largely working as before, but the transition has also meant new ways of working. Going from being only a few employees to getting many new colleagues and shared resources feels very good, says Kristina.
Positive development
During the first half of the year, NTEX completed over 10 000 assignments to and from France and Belgium. This is in comparison with the same period in 2015 when the corresponding assignment was just over 4 000. At the same time, volumes have increased from 13 500 tons to nearly 50 000 tons. Freight forwarders Hanna Lomander, Håkan Simson, and Anders Lomander from BC France Sped also see many benefits of the acquisition - such as greater flexibility and more resources.
- I notice a clear and positive difference in the fact that the offices cooperate. Together we find the absolute best solutions for the customer, says Hanna Lomander.
